The Belchertown Recreation Department is now accepting letters of intent from those interested in coaching our 5/6 & 7/8 grade girls or boys Suburban basketball teams for the upcoming season!

• Coaching experience
• Your qualifications
• Why you feel you’d be the right fit for this age group
• Any other information that will help us in the selection process

Good Morning, as part of a comprehensive Management Program Lake Holland and Lake Arcadia will be treated with aquatic herbicides Sonar (fluridone) to control non-native and invasive fanwort and milfoil. The treatment will be conducted Wednesday, June 10th. The lake will be closed to all water uses (including boating, fishing, and swimming) for a 24 hour period following the treatment. Applicable water use restrictions will be posted with signs around the shoreline prior to application.

There will also be a survey conducted on Lake Metacomet along with spot treatment if necessary for non-native and invasive fanwort and milfoil. The lake will be closed to all water uses (including boating, fishing, and swimming) for a 24 hour period if a treatment is applied.
