Courtesy post~ Hazel is again looking for a new home. She isn't feeling comfortable in her new home and is hiding. She needs a family that will have the time to allow her to feel comfortable and to play and interact with her. Her owner is looking for someone who can love and care for her as she is a bit too much for her while living in assisted care.
Hazel is spayed, current on vaccines and approx 3 years old. She is normall y a cuddle bug & also playful and frisky. Please call/text 413-531-1287 if you believe you can meet Hazels needs.

Please share~ Carrie the Anatolian Shelpherd that spent weeks traipsing the countryside is now available for adoption to a home with Anatolian experience. This sweet girl is spayed, current on vaccines and microchiped. She is still a bit shy with new folks so would need someone to come spend a bit of time visiting her here prior to leaving for her new home. Carrie doesn't have a mean bone in her body and loves to be groomed and shown affection. Please reach out 413-519-1754 if you are interested in her and have experience with her breed.

Service Dog vs. ESA vs. Therapy Dog — Know the Difference

These three terms are often used interchangeably, but they are not the same thing.

Service Dog: Individually trained to perform specific disability-related work or tasks for their handler. Qualified service dogs have public access rights under the ADA.

ESA — Emotional Support Animal: Provides emotional comfort through their presence. An ESA does not need task training and does not have the same public-access rights as a service dog under the ADA.

Therapy Dog: Works with a handler to provide comfort and companionship to other people, often in places such as hospitals, schools, nursing homes, and hospice facilities. Therapy dogs do not have automatic ADA public access.

The most important thing to remember: A vest, certification, registration, or well-behaved dog does not make an animal a service dog. What matters under the ADA is whether the dog is individually trained to perform work or tasks directly related to a person's disability.

Know the difference. Respect the role. Protect the integrity of service dogs.
