United Way Montcalm - Ionia Counties
For over 65 years, United Way Montcalm-Ionia Counties has endeavored to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our communities. United Way provides leadership and resources to improve the quality of life in our communities by generating revenue, creating awareness and engaging volunteers to support our programs and services as well as those of our affiliate agency partners. While United Way supports efforts in four key areas: education, financial stability, healthy lives, and basic needs, currently efforts and funding are focused around education (literacy, and early education) and basic needs (food, shelter and medical transportation) to maximize local community impact. With over 17 affiliate partner agencies, a variety of local collaborative efforts, internal programming, special project initiatives, and through an annual campaign, United Way actively strives to fulfill basic human needs, improve people’s health, build vital and safe neighborhoods, and help children and youth achieve their full potential.
