We invite our community to come together for our annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony as we honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, recognize the courage of our first responders, and remember the countless acts of bravery and service that followed.

This year marks 25 years since the attacks of September 11, and we invite residents to join us in reflection and remembrance.

🚒 The Annual Valencia County Family Day - Special Olympics Fire Truck Pull is almost here!

Join us on September 19, 2026, 10am-4pm, for a full day of family fun supporting Special Olympics!

What started as a small event has grown to include:
🔥 Fire Truck Pull teams
🎯 A Kids Corner with games and activities
🛍️ Multiple vendors
🎉 And much more!

There are still several ways to get involved. Special Olympics sponsorships are still available, but the deadline is quickly approaching, with just over a week remaining. Registration is also still open for Fire Truck Pull teams and vendors.

Whether you sponsor, participate, volunteer, or simply bring the family out for the day, your support helps Special Olympics provide opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities.

Traffic Alert:

Belen Fire Department is currently on scene on of a Motor Vehicle Accident and a bicyclist.

All traffic on North Mesa Rd and Waggoner LN is shut down in both direction.

Please avoid the area if possible, use an alternate route, and give emergency crews plenty of room to work. We will provide an update when the roadway is reopened.

Traffic Alert:

Belen Fire Department crews are currently on scene on I25 bypass and FatSats for a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA)issue involving two vehicles in the roadway.

West bound traffic is shut down to one lane.

Please avoid the area if possible, use an alternate route, and give emergency crews plenty of room to work. We will provide an update when the roadway is reopened.

Traffic Alert:

Belen Fire Department crews are currently on scene on West Reinken overpass addressing a public safety issue involving damaged infrastructure along the roadway.

For the safety of our crews and the public, eastbound traffic is currently shut down to one lane while personnel work to secure the area and address the hazard.

Please avoid the area if possible, use an alternate route, and give emergency crews plenty of room to work. We will provide an update when the roadway is reopened.

Belen Fire Department responded this afternoon to a two-vehicle accident near 1306 River Rd., westbound.

All occupants are reported safe. Fire personnel extricated one victim, who was transferred to AMR for further care.

All lanes are open.
