Saturday morning at 11:15am Belews Creek FD was dispatched to a building fire in a rural water area of our district. Belews Creek FD Engine 131 arrived in 4 minutes finding heavy fire and smoke conditions from a residential garage. Shortly after our Automatic Aid Departments Walkertown, Salem Chapel and Walnut Cove Fire Departments arrived on scene which assisted with water supply and manpower during this event. Big Thanks to our County Agencies Forsyth County Fire assisted with overhaul and handling the fire investigation, Forsyth County EMS assisted with rehab, Forsyth County Communications for quick call dispatch and Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office for handling traffic control for safe operation on scene. This incident was brought under control quickly along with no injuries. With the extreme heat conditions hydration, crew rotation and shade help keep everyone safe during this event. Thankful for the great turnout from all departments staff and volunteers yesterday as we depend on each other everyday to protect our communities Chief Smith
