📚☀️ Summer Recreation + Summer Reading = The Perfect Combo! ☀️📚

*Attention Parents*

If your child is signed up for Summer Recreation, they'll also be joining us at the library for Summer Reading!

The first day we see them, they'll bring home an information packet, a reading tracker, and a library card registration form (if they don't already have a library card). Simply fill it out and send it back with your child so they can check out books during their library visits!

📖 Read at home, track those minutes, and send the reading tracker back with your child each time they come to the library. They'll earn raffle tickets for minutes tracked and turned in and we will use those tickets during the last week of Summer Reading for a chance to win some awesome prizes! 🎉

Parents, don't forget—you can sign up for Summer Reading, too! Join the fun, encourage a love of reading at home, and earn prizes right alongside your kids!

🦕 Adopt a Dinosaur at the Library! 🦕

Join us this Saturday from 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. for our Summer Reading Kickoff!

Kids can adopt their very own dinosaur, and everyone can sign up for our Summer Reading Program, which begins July 7th.

Summer reading is open to kids, teens, and adults, so stop in, get registered, and get ready for a summer full of reading and prizes!

📚🤫 Join us for our very first Silent Book Club!

Have you always wanted to join a book club but didn't want the pressure of assigned reading? Then this is the perfect club for you!

Join us on **July 9 at 5:30 PM** for our first Silent Book Club gathering at the Belfast Public Library. We'll start with a short orientation where you can learn how Silent Book Club works, help us choose future meeting dates and times, and even help name the club!

Then it's time to relax. Bring whatever you're reading—novels, mysteries, audiobooks, comics, magazines, or ebooks. Spend some quiet time reading alongside other book lovers, then stick around afterward to chat...or simply head home with a good book.

Don't have a library card yet? No problem! We'll help you get one and find the perfect book before we begin.

This is a free event, and everyone is welcome. We hope you'll join us for an evening of books, community, and a little peaceful reading. ❤️
