Our thoughts and prayers are with our friends, neighbors, communities, and livestock impacted by all of the active fires across Montana, especially those who’ve suffered loses as a result. We stand shoulder to shoulder with you through these very difficult times.

We also stand with every first responder, air crew, and support team on the front lines—thank you for the tireless, grueling work you’re doing under very difficult conditions. Your service to our community is tremendously appreciated.

Valor Fire & Rescue is ready to help our neighbors in any way we can. We have crews, engines, command and control systems, drones, and other equipment available to support any neighbor, business, or responding agency that needs assistance.

What’s all the AARF about?!

VFR crews are out and about performing maintenance inspections on a few of our engines. All firetruck repairs and modifications are done in house by local veterans, at our Bozeman International Airport office.

Engine 2 is one of our core fleet engines and has a distinguished service history! Originally hailing
from Ft Pickett, Virginia, Engine 2 previously served with the Ft Pickett Fire Department before being acquired by Valor Fire & Rescue.

Engine 2 is an Oshkosh ARFF, designed to traverse with speed and go just about anywhere it needs to. 1500 gallons of water capacity, 250 gallons of foam, 2 remote controlled cannons, 4WD w/lockers, combined with a 14L turbo diesel, enabling rapid response to a variety of emergency calls. Tight fire roads at home or bombed out airfields overseas, the ARFF makes quick work of it all.

Our crews were onsite south of Dillon this past weekend, after a neighbor reached out concerned about overgrown fuels and slag piles close to their structures. This will get fixed up in no time.

Our neighbors, their loved ones, and and their safety are paramount to us and our top priority!

Over the last several weeks, our veteran crews and staff have conducted numerous NFPA/IBHS rated fire mitigation assessments throughout Park and Gallatin Counties.

From rampant burn scar damage, 75ft + widowmakers immediately threatening neighbors and their structures, wind damaged or knocked over fuels, to autonomous sprinkler system and fire mitigation home improvements, to staging our engines for private fire response, no job is too difficult or complex.

We are happy to be an asset and resource to our neighbors, who seek to take control of the dangerous threats to themselves and their properties.

Smoke may be visible today on the far west side of the Flying D ranch. This is due to a controlled burn with the Forest Service. The burn is in Madison County, however smoke may be visible in our district. They have all resources needed to maintain the burn safely.
