For Generations, Yachtsmen Have Made River Forest a Port of Call!
There’s something special about arriving at River Forest Manor & Marina by water—and today’s cruisers are following a tradition that stretches back generations.
Belhaven’s history is intertwined with the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. In 1928, when the completion of the Alligator-Pungo Canal was celebrated, thousands gathered on the grounds of the River Forest property. Later, when River Forest became an inn, restaurant and marina in 1947, yachtsmen traveling the ICW began making it a regular stop for overnight dockage, a hot meal and Southern hospitality.
Nearly 80 years later, that tradition continues.
If you’re making your way north or south on the ICW, pull into Belhaven and make River Forest part of your journey. Tie up for the night, fuel up, enjoy dinner and a craft cocktail, take a golf cart into town, or simply sit back and watch the sun set across the water.
Located at ICW Mile Marker 136, River Forest offers protected deep-water dockage, transient slips for vessels up to 150 feet, fuel, shore power, complimentary laundry and golf carts, and an on-site restaurant and bar.
Generations of yachtsmen have stopped here before you. We invite you to continue the tradition.
