Belington Emergency Squad Announcement

It is with a heavy heart that the Belington Emergency Squad announces the passing of our retired member and esteemed EMT, Patty Canfield. Patty, a foundational pillar of our squad, dedicated her entire life to serving the people of our community. Her tireless efforts were instrumental in establishing the Belington Emergency Squad, ensuring that an ambulance was always available in times of need.

Patty's selfless nature led her to consistently place the needs of others before her own, embodying the spirit of community service and compassion. Her contributions have left an indelible mark on our squad and the community at large.

As we mourn her loss, our thoughts and prayers go out to Patty's family during this difficult time. Patty's legacy of dedication, kindness, and unwavering commitment to helping others will forever be remembered and honored.

She will be greatly missed not only by us at the emergency squad but by the entire Belington community. We join together in grief and gratitude for having had Patty Canfield as a part of our lives.

Hey, Facebook friends! I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to Arch Coal for their amazing generosity and support to our first responders in Barbour County. They recently provided a delicious lunch to the dedicated team at BELINGTON EMS and other first responders throughout the area. 🍽️🍔🥪

In times like these, when our EMS crews and first responders are tirelessly working to keep our community safe and healthy, gestures like this truly mean the world. The lunch not only provided nourishment for our heroes but also served as a reminder that they have a strong support system backing them every step of the way. 💪💙

Exciting news for our community! Belington EMS has added a Lucas 3 CPR machine to our arsenal of lifesaving equipment. This state-of-the-art device provides continuous chest compressions during cardiac arrest, increasing the chances of survival. Belington EMS is dedication to providing the highest level of care to our community. A huge thank you our community for all the continuing of support.

We are helping the Barbour County Health Department today with save a life day. We are providing narcotic overdose prevention classes and expressing Narcan to our area. If you are interested, we will be at the junior fire department from 9-12 and 1-3 today.
