Mermet Lake waterfowl hunters. Tomorrow our last drawing will be at 12pm for pools and blinds. Sorry to say but not many ducks left after the ice we have had for the last week. Tomorrow will be all day hunting to close out the season.

Mermet Lake waterfowl hunters. The ice is breaking up and some hunters were able to reach their hunting areas today. Things are much better today. Remember, last three days of season is all day hunting, however only tuesday will be in blinds/pools the other two of those days will be walk in only.

Mermet Lake waterfowl hunters, we do have some open water or water on top of ice, but there is still lots of ice in the hunting areas. I have attached some pictures to show the hunting areas. We will continue to do what we can to open areas to allow hunter access.

Mermet Lake duck hunters, as of today January 23rd we still have very thick ice but are manipulating water with pumps to try and help break the ice. Hopefully the last week of season we will have open water again.

We will close lake to refuge waterfowl on Monday November 13th. At that time only registered hunter will be allowed within the site. No fishing, hiking, picnicking or sightseeing will be allowed until duck season is over.
