Monday morning drop-off. 🎒💙

After last week’s backpack giveaway with Cops & Birdies and Modern Woodmen, a few backpacks remained, and today they made their way to Garfield Elementary and Suva Elementary.

Grateful that every backpack can serve a purpose and, most importantly, support a student as they begin the school year. Sometimes it’s the simple acts of care that make a difference. 💙

⛳️ Celebrating Golf Month in Bell Gardens! ⛳️

At last night’s City Council meeting, I was proud to present a proclamation recognizing Golf Month and to celebrate three organizations that are doing meaningful work to make the game of golf more accessible, inclusive, and connected to our communities: Latina Golfers Association, Cops & Birdies, and Raza Golf.

As a strong supporter of golf and an advocate for the Bell Gardens Golf Course, I believe our course is more than a place to play, it is a community asset that creates opportunities for recreation, mentorship, connection, and introducing the next generation to the game.

I am especially proud to recognize organizations that are expanding access to golf and creating spaces where people who have historically been underrepresented in the sport can learn, participate, and belong.

A special thank you to the Azucena Latina Golfers Association for their generous $1,000 donation to support our local youth golf teams. Their investment in our young people helps create more opportunities for youth to experience the game, develop new skills, and be part of the golf community.

I officially filed my paperwork to seek reelection to the Bell Gardens City Council.

Serving the community that raised me has been one of the greatest honors of my life. As a lifelong Bell Gardens resident, every decision I make is rooted in my love for our city and my commitment to the people who call it home.

Over the past three years, I have worked every day to lead with integrity, listen with purpose, and advocate for our residents. Together, we have made meaningful progress, but there is still more work to be done.

I remain committed to strengthening public safety, investing in our neighborhoods, improving our parks and infrastructure, supporting our youth and seniors, maintaining fiscal responsibility, and ensuring every resident has a voice in the future of Bell Gardens.

Public service has never been about titles for me. It has always been about giving back to the city that has given so much to my family and me. I will continue to lead with transparency, accessibility, compassion, and hard work because our community deserves nothing less.

I’m ready to continue serving. I’m ready to continue listening. I’m ready to continue working for Bell Gardens.

This November, I respectfully ask for your support and your vote so that, together, we can continue building a stronger, safer, and more vibrant Bell Gardens for generations to come.

Thank you for your trust, your encouragement, and the privilege of serving this incredible community. It is an honor I never take for granted.

Grateful for the dedicated men and women of the Bell Gardens Police Department who work every day to protect and serve our community.

National Night Out is more than an event, it’s an opportunity to strengthen the trust and partnerships between law enforcement and the community they serve. Thank you to BGPD for your commitment, professionalism, and the sacrifices you make to help keep Bell Gardens safe.

Public safety has always been one of my top priorities, and I remain committed to supporting the resources, partnerships, and initiatives that make our city a safer place for everyone.

Today was a great reminder of what makes Bell Gardens so special, people who show up to serve. 💚

A heartfelt thank you to every volunteer who dedicated their Saturday morning to helping keep our community clean and beautiful. Your time, energy, and commitment are what make Bell Gardens a stronger, safer, and more vibrant community.

A special thank you to Vida Sana, SELA Kiwanis, Neighborhood Watch, El Quisquito, Atención Plena, our dedicated City of Bell Gardens staff who volunteered their time, and every community member who came out to make a difference. Your willingness to serve is truly inspiring.

Thank you as well to Caltrans, Senator Lena A. Gonzalez, and Assemblywoman Blanca Pacheco for partnering to make this community cleanup possible.

When residents, community organizations, city staff, and local leaders come together with a shared purpose, there’s nothing we can’t accomplish. Together, we’re building a cleaner, more beautiful Bell Gardens, one act of service at a time.

Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸✨

Wishing everyone a safe, joyful, and meaningful Independence Day as we come together to celebrate our community, our freedoms, and the country we are blessed to call home.

As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, I am filled with gratitude and pride for the opportunity to serve, to belong, and to live in a country built on hope, resilience, and possibility.

I am also so happy and proud that we were able to bring the fireworks show back to Bell Gardens for our families, neighbors, and community to enjoy together.

Proud to be an American citizen today and every day. May we continue working together to honor the promise of this nation and build a brighter future for generations to come.

Attended my first CALSA Summer Institute, and it was a meaningful reminder of the power of leadership, connection, and purpose.

I left grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, reconnect with former colleagues, and be surrounded by educational leaders who lead with vision and serve with corazón.

It was even more special to share this space with my fellow doctora and colleague. Proud of the work we continue to do, the barriers we continue to break, and the example we carry for those coming behind us.

Honored to be part of the CALSA Mentoring Program Cohort 23 and looking forward to continued growth, collaboration, and leadership rooted in service. 💚✨

The FIFA World Cup 2026 Public Viewing Events are a wonderful way to bring families, friends, and neighbors together to enjoy the game, celebrate culture, and experience community pride right here in Bell Gardens.

Thank you to our City staff for their work in helping make events like this possible, and thank you to my City Council colleagues for supporting opportunities that bring our residents together in positive, family-friendly spaces.

I invite our Bell Gardens community to come out, bring your lawn chairs and sun hats, and join us at Bell Gardens Veterans Park as we cheer, connect, and enjoy the excitement of the World Cup together.
