Got the opportunity to go to the NGAUS convention in Baltimore. The NG Association of California or NGAC is an inexpensive way to get involved in the wider community of the National Guard. I met the recently retired NGB Director General Grass, the new Director General Lengyel, Senator Graham and a National Guard Soldier who first joined in 1942! We even got a speech from the nominee for the Republicans for president. Several of our own command luminaries attended as well. And we had multiple awardees to include two service members who saved 34 lives collectively. Honored to shake their hands.
