This community is the best. Did you know that Harps is running a fundraiser through June 28 benefiting our department and the Bella Vista Police Department? We hung out at their kick off event last weekend. Thanks so much for everyone who contributes to supporting your community like this. We are grateful to work in such a city.

Each of our three shifts have been touring the grounds and building at the OZ Trails Bike Park to get to know what is what in the event we have to respond to any kind of call there. From hydrant locations and AEDs to ambulance access and types of ropes they use, they've prepared us to know exactly what they can and will do in an emergency so we can be prepared for our part. Thanks to their staff for being proactive and getting it all streamlined with us before the park is even open.

This morning we teamed up with Cooper Elementary staff to conduct a Project ADAM drill. The drill was led by the Arkansas Children's Heart Institute, and provided training in the event of a cardiac arrest of a child at the school. We went through a few scenarios in which both staff members and EMS personnel responded to a staged cardiac call using a pediatric dummy. Thanks to all who participated to make this training happen to help prepare those who are potential life savers first on a scene and to continue to keep us prepared to respond to any type of emergency.

Progress on the Town Center complex continues! The new Planning & Development offices (what was the old City Hall) have been bricked and are looking good. Electrical work is ongoing inside.

The exterior of the bay doors have also gotten a face lift, with matching brick instead of aggregate rock. This is almost finished being transformed into a 21st century building!
