The Antrim County Office of Emergency Management, in coordination with the Michigan National Guard and local public safety partners, will conduct a joint emergency response training exercise on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 6 am to 3 pm. at and around the Antrim County Airport and designated training locations throughout the county.

This full-scale exercise is designed to strengthen emergency response capabilities, interagency coordination, and operational readiness among local, county, state, and military response partners. The training will include a series of simulated emergency scenarios intended to test response operations, communications, logistics, public safety coordination, and resource management.

Residents should expect to see an increased presence of emergency response vehicles, personnel, and both ground and air equipment from the Michigan National Guard throughout the exercise period. This may include military vehicles, support equipment, and aircraft operating in the training area.

Antrim County Emergency Management appreciates the continued support and understanding of residents during this important training exercise. The public is encouraged to use caution near the training areas and is welcome to observe from a safe distance.

Antrim County is now taking applications for a full-time day Maintenance position. This position requires the applicant to perform a variety of skilled and unskilled maintenance tasks and limited cleaning at County buildings and grounds. Wage scale from $18.90 per hour starting to $21.72 with a full benefits package including pension. This position is Monday-Friday. A required Antrim County application and position description may be picked up at the Human Resources Office, Antrim County Government Building, Bellaire, or downloaded off the County website (https://cms5.revize.com/revize/antrim/job_detail_T7_R150.php).
