We are currently assisting HISD Police with a threat at Bellaire High School. The school has been placed in Secure Mode while the threat is being investigated. Please avoid the area until HISD has completed their investigation.

Today we gave a tour to a few police applicants disguised as Girl Scout Troop 146146. They are ready to start Monday after bringing a few boxes of supplies to the recruiter! Testing starts next week for everyone else.

National Police Woman Day is especially devoted to the women of law enforcement who are committed to their communities and risk their lives each day on the force.
Created to celebrate and acknowledge the females who are in the police force, National Police Woman Day seeks to promote women’s role in law enforcement and encourage more women to join in on this noble career.

Last night (in the rain), our Citizens' Police Academy participated in traffic stops and learning what it feels like to be the one looking for traffic violations! Participants also demonstrated what they learned in a building search class by looking for bad actors in a low light situation. Thanks to Memorial Villages Police Department for presenting their Drone First Responder program to our Citizens' Police Academy Alumni Association yesterday. Attendees were able to view remote launching and a live stream from the drone as it patrolled! They also were able to see the new purchases by our Bellaire Police & Fire Foundation, including the Avata drones and watch their flying capabilities. The alumni is open to anyone who has graduated the Bellaire Police Citizens' Academy and can be contacted at [email protected]

Last night our Citizens' Police Academy met and discussed the roles and responsibilities of dispatch/ 911 call takers. They then met with the patrol division (backbone of the police department) who explained what daily activities they are responsible for. Make sure you give a heart for dispatch or thumbs up for patrol!

Today our bike officers were working around Bellaire High School and observed a vehicle driving the wrong way down a one way street. Officers stopped the vehicle, but the driver decided to jump the curb and flee the area instead of receiving a warning.

Chase Hetzler was located by a patrol vehicle a short distance away and charged with evading with a motor vehicle, unlawfully carrying a weapon where prohibited (handgun), and tampering with a government document (fake id).
Thankfully no one was injured in his attempt to elude the police during school drop off.

Yesterday we kicked off our Citizens' Police Academy with introduction night, a tour of the jail and courts, and Mayor Pro Tem Frazier (also an alumni) gave a great welcome speech. We are looking forward to a great 10 weeks of classes!

We hope everyone is enjoying the first week of school (adults)!! With all the excitement we are reminding (adults) to make sure they watch for school zones. We caught this alien spaceship vehicle landing on S. Rice and even he was below 20mph, so no excuses for the rest of you!
However, we did speak with the driver about his missing front plate 🧐

Serial car burglar caught!!! (again)
On July 6, 2024, Bellaire Officers caught Qualon Stafford breaking into vehicles and charged him with burglary of a motor vehicle. Defendant Stafford posted his $100 bond and was released. On July 18, 2024, defendant Stafford came back to Bellaire to victimize people at a local church day care. Defendant Stafford used the stolen credit cards he obtained from those vehicles to make several purchases. Bellaire Detectives were able to identify and charge Stafford with felony credit card abuse charges.

Today Bellaire Detectives and Bellaire Special Response Team members located and arrested Defendant Stafford to return him to the Harris County Jail.

The Fort Worth Police Department is grieving the loss of an officer who died in the line of duty on the morning of August 12, 2024.

Sgt. Billy Randolph, #2797, died this morning while working an accident scene.

The procession from JPS Hospital to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Officer will begin at 11 a.m.

Billy was a father, husband, brother, son, and friend.

Today Bellaire Detectives and the Bellaire Special Response Team, with assistance from Sugar Land Police Department, located and arrested a second defendant in the 4500 Merrie Lane shooting case from April 13th. This defendant has been charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and will be transported to Harris County Jail.

Great job to everyone who worked on this case and the outstanding support from local agencies in the apprehension of both suspects.

Robbery of a business

Another capture with the Bellaire Police & Fire Foundation purchased drone! Great job to dayshift and the Remote Operations Unit for locating and capturing a robbery suspect on July 1, 2024! Officers were dispatched to a robbery of a business at 10:16am and the suspect was located at 10:23am a few blocks away. Check out the video below of a job well done. It's hard to tell in the video, but a special kudos to Officer Parnell who jumped the fence, caught up to the suspect, and placed him in custody.

Today, Bellaire Police Officer Rocha and Officer Liccketto participated in physical education at Horn Elementary School 4th graders as part of the new Community Outreach Program. The purpose of the program is to interact with children at an early age to have a positive impact at an early age with police officers.
