‼️City-Wide Hydrant Testing‼️
From now through November, our Firefighters will be conducting a city-wide hydrant testing that covers over 700 fire hydrants. Please be respectful of our firefighters who will be conducting this annual test to evaluate the hydrant's water flow capacity, pressure, and rate of flow, as well as the overall functionality of the water distribution system for firefighting, fire sprinklers, and domestic purposes, as required by NFPA 291.

It’s so awesome to see our members continuing to develop their career. Congratulations Adrianna!

Currently Bellaire Professional Firefighters Association are working with the Bellaire Police Officer's Association in the investigation of the ‘stolen game’ that they are claiming was tampered with. Currently all evidence is showing that the Bellaire Professional Fire Fighters Association won fair and square, just shows that our Firefighters have amazing teamwork and determination to win.

But all seriousness, today was an amazing day at Feld Park for the First Annual Battle of the Hero’s Soft Ball tournament that was hosted by the Bellaire Optimist Club.

See you next year, better luck next time!

Congratulations Larson!

An Awesome Job to our on duty crew today and our partners at Memorial Hermann, Memorial Hermann Trauma & EMS Group. Having these resources within Houston is so imperative to patient care and their outcomes!

This Morning Medic 42 was dispatched to a stroke call in the 6300 block of West Loop S. After receiving the call, Medic 42 dispatched Memorial Hermann’s Mobile Stroke unit that has a CT scanner and proper medicine needed to treat a thrombosis that normally would only be in a hospital. With fast responses and quick thinking by both Bellaire Fire Department Paramedics and Memorial Hermann Stroke Team, the patient received the best care in the field prior to hospital arrival.

We want to thank our Partners At Memorial Hermann and Memorial Hermann Trauma & EMS Group for providing their services and bringing the hospital care to the field. This Mobile Stroke unit allows for immediate Stroke care and life saving diagnostics, that normally wouldn’t be possible in the field.

Congratulations to our brothers and sisters at the Houston Fire Department after many years of battling the city and being grossly underpaid. Today is a huge win for them and surrounding departments all over Texas.

The financial terms of our historic new contract have been announced. Houston firefighters and their families will get $650M and a new five-year contract that extends to 2029. No existing benefits are being lost and there are many new incentives. The settlement ends our years-long stalemate with the city. Thank you, Mayor John Whitmire, for getting this done so fast. A judge will receive the agreement on Monday. A news conference will follow after the court review.

The Bellaire Fire Department has been gifted the next two weeks of being able to train with this abandoned house that will be demolished and rebuilt very soon. Crews will be conducting many types of training, anyone is more than welcome to stop by and observe from the street. Please be mindful of the fire apparatus and personnel at this location over the next two weeks.

Our deepest condolences and prayer’s go out to the McKenzie Family and our brothers and sisters in South Montgomery County. Rest easy brother, we will take it from here.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of one of our own, a true hero in every sense of the word. Corby McKenzie , a beloved firefighter and brother who dedicated his life to serving and protecting our community, has tragically lost his battle with occupational cancer.

Corby was not just a firefighter; he was a beacon of courage, compassion, and selflessness. Throughout his career, he fearlessly rushed into danger, risking his own safety to save others. His dedication to his duty knew no bounds, and his impact on those he served will never be forgotten.

As we mourn the loss of our dear friend and brother, let us also celebrate his remarkable life and legacy. Let us honor his memory by continuing the work he was so passionate about, by never forgetting the sacrifices he made, and by ensuring that his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched.

Rest in peace, Corby Your bravery, kindness, and selflessness will forever inspire us. Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your extraordinary legacy. You will always be our hero.
