Just wanted to let everyone know, the Fire Department Auxiliary is hosting a Mothers Day Brunch May 10th at the fire hall, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This is a free will offering so come on down and support the auxiliary.

Today, April 10, 2026, there were 3 new wildfires reported in the Black Hills. Tomorrow starting at noon we will be under a Red Flag warning. This means the fire danger is extreme. Also remember Butte County has a burn ban in effect. If we do have a fire, some of our neighbors that normally help us out when needed will be busy on other fires and help will take longer to get here. Please be very careful with any activity that may cause a spark and s***f out ci******es or drop them in a bottle with water in it.

The Belle Fourche Fire Department Auxiliary hosted the department Christmas Party at the fire hall on 12/14. After enjoying a great traditional meal, Santa and Grinch showed up and interacted with the kids.

The Belle Fourche Volunteer Fire Department met up with the other fire departments in Butte County in Nisland for some training. First we watched a demonstration by Butte Electric on the dangers of power lines. Then we utilized the state owned Multi Level Fire Training Unit for some live fire training. When we were done with that the Butte Fire Department got some new extrication tools so time was spent using the tools and discussing different ways to remove patients from wrecked cars. We had instructors from Belle, Spearfish and Whispering Pines Fire Department. The Whitewood Auxiliary brought over their rehab trailer and the Nisland Auxiliary served lunch. Thanks to everyone involved.
