A Big Thank You to our community and the Black Hills Roundup!!

The Black Hills Roundup Ag Committee proudly hosted the 26th Annual Community Festival of Trees on November 25, 2025. Thanks to generous donors, bidders, and supporters, the event raised $47,700 for local organizations making a difference in our community.

Beneficiaries include:
• Belle Fourche Meals on Wheels
• Belle Fourche Ministerial Association
• Belle Silver Lining
• Butte County Child Protection Team
• Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #12
• Greater Belle Fourche Foundation
• St. Paul’s Catholic Church

We’re grateful for everyone who helped make this night a success.

PSA: SNAP Payments to be Paid to South Dakotans
“PIERRE - The South Dakota Department of Social Services (DSS) will be issuing the full allotment of
SNAP benefits to enrolled recipients in November. DSS is projecting a payment date of Monday, November 10 - the normal date recipients receive benefits. If there are delays, they will be communicated as soon as they are known.”

📌 UPDATE 11/7/25: We understand it’s disappointing when you miss out on Thanksgiving items. These holiday events were planned weeks ago and the opportunity to participate was decided by each of our local partners. Although the food items are coordinated through Feeding South Dakota, each site coordinates their own process and schedule and we’re grateful for the work they’ve done to make these events possible. We encourage you to reach out to the Helpline Center at 211 for information on other Thanksgiving Meal opportunities that may be happening near you. We understand the need is great right now, and we’re working hard to get more food to families as quickly as we can.

Feeding South Dakota, along with 25 of our partners, will distribute 6,000 meals this year at 27 locations across the state. 🥔
