Tomorrow is the day!!! Our 3rd annual Slip n Slide will take place at the sledding hill from 1:30pm to 3:00pm, and we can't wait to see YOU there!

Please remember that waivers must be filled out before kids (and parents) can partake in the fun! Officers will have extra waivers at the event tomorrow if you need one.

We would also like to thank everyone that came out to see us over the summer at Popsicles in the Park. Officers are already counting down the days until next summer!

We also want to extend a HUGE thank you to Coborn's in Belle Plaine for donating all of the popsicles for each of these events!

After having to postpone due to high water levels on the river, and delay a few hours due to some mornings thunderstorms, our 2nd annual Hook, Line, and Heroes Youth River Fishing event kicked off this morning from Court Square Park. We ended up with several hours of great weather, and lots of fish were caught!

We want to give a huge shout out to all of the captains, and co-captains, who volunteer their time and provide the resources needed to take these kids out fishing. And, a big thank you to all of our sponsors. This event wouldn't be possible without each and every one of you!

We apologize that Officers were unavailable to come to Century Park today to hand out popsicles due to a priority call. We look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday August 21st for our annual Slip n Slide event. We will make sure to have plenty of popsicles on hand!

After a thorough investigation, we have determined the squad cars, and officers, associated with the Belle Plaine Police Department cell phone do not have any unpaid traffic tickets.

All jokes aside, please remember that these types of messages are a SCAM, and you would never receive a text message about outstanding/unpaid traffic violations.

If you receive a text message, phone call, or email, that you are unsure about, our officer's would be happy to review this with you. Stop by, or call, anytime!

Please take a moment to talk with your kids about scooter and bike safety before the busy BBQ Days weekend. Remind them to stay alert for motorists, follow all traffic laws, wear helmets, and ride responsibly to keep everyone safe.

Please be aware that anyone soliciting without a city issued permit is not authorized to operate in our city. If you encounter unlicensed solicitors, do not engage with them and avoid sharing any personal information.

***UPDATE***

The gas line has been pinched off and will be repaired shortly.

Around 9:15 am we were notified of a gas line that was hit in the area of Old Highway 169 and State St E. Crews are on site working to fix the gas line. Please avoid this area until further notice.
