Resignation of BVA Athletic Director Matt Humbert �

For over a decade, Coach Matt Humbert has been an integral part of the Belle Vernon Area School District. Whether serving as a teacher, coach, mentor, or Athletic Director, he has dedicated himself to our students and worked tirelessly to build a culture centered on excellence, accountability, and pride. While we are certainly disappointed to see Coach Humbert leaveBVA, we understand and respect his decision to continue his career at Bethel Park School District. We are grateful for his years of dedicated service and wish him every success and happiness in this next chapter.

Notice of School Board Vacancy

The following announcement is issued on behalf of the Belle Vernon Area School District Board of School Directors.

The Belle Vernon Area School District has received the unexpected resignation of a member of the Board of School Directors, creating a vacancy on the Board. In accordance with the Pennsylvania Public School Code and Board Policy the Board of School Directors will appoint a qualified resident to fill the vacant position. Board Policy 004 outlines the qualifications for serving as a school director, the process for filling vacancies, and the responsibilities of Board members.

The individual appointed by the Board will serve the remainder of the unexpired term, from August 18, 2026, through December 6, 2027.
