❌ No trash pickup on Monday, September 7.
➡ Monday's trash pickup will move to Tuesday.
➡ Tuesday's trash pickup will move to Wednesday.
✅ There will be no change to recycling collection.

💧🗑♻ Proposed FY 27 Utility Rates:

The Town of Belleair's FY 2027 proposed utility rates include a 5% increase in water rates, reflecting a rise in the County's wholesale water costs. Additionally, a 5% increase in solid waste rates is proposed due to an increase in Pinellas County's dumping fees.

The proposed utility rates are pending a decision by the Commission at two public meetings on the following dates:

➡ September 3 at 5:30pm (First Reading)
➡ September 15 at 5:30pm (Second Reading)

Residents are encouraged to attend and provide input!

⚽️ Athletic Fields Temporarily Closed 🏈

Due to the ongoing fence replacement project and saturated field conditions from recent weather, the athletic fields will remain temporarily closed.

Your Town at work! 💪

Our Parks & Streets team recently installed a beautiful new hedge along the athletic fields! This job included:

🌱 Removal of 200 old, dying viburnums
🌿 Installation of 200 new 7-gallon podocarpus plants
💧 New irrigation
🪵 200+ bags of pine bark mulch

Our team battled the Florida heat to get the job done, and the results look amazing! 👏

🚧Caution: Work zone on Ponce de Leon Blvd
🗓 Beginning Wednesday, Aug. 26

Concrete work will be ongoing on Ponce de Leon Blvd between Pine Rd and Manatee Rd. Road closures are not anticipated, but please use caution while traveling through the area to keep our crews and everyone on the road safe. Work is expected to last approximately one week.

🚧 Ponce De Leon Blvd. Eastbound closure - detour expected TODAY. The Westbound lane will remain open.

Installation of 15-foot fence posts around the athletic fields are in, and crews are continuing to install the chain-link portion today. A detour will safely route traffic towards: The Mall, to Gardenia St., onto Varona St. then back onto Ponce De Leon Blvd.

Ponce De Leon Blvd. is expected to reopen fully, shortly after the fence installation is complete. The Athletic Fields will be closed until the installation is complete.

🚧 Ponce De Leon Blvd. detour expected this week 🚧

Fence installation around the athletic fields has begun! This week, drivers can expect a temporary lane closure to the eastbound lane on Ponce De Leon Blvd.

During this time, a detour will route traffic towards: The Mall, to Gardenia St., onto Varona St. then back onto Ponce De Leon Blvd.

The road is expected to reopen shortly after the fence installation is complete. For safety, Athletic Fields and tennis/pickleball courts will be closed until the installation is complete.
