Let’s all do our part to help make sure everyone gets to and from school safely. Please slow down in school zones, watch for children and crossing pedestrians, and stay alert around school buses and bus stops.

⛈️ Storm Cleanup Can Attract Scammers - Know the Warning Signs!
Following severe weather, it's common to see contractors, and cleanup crews in the area. While many are legitimate, scammers often take advantage of storm damage by targeting homeowners when they're most vulnerable.
Protect yourself by remembering these tips:
🛠️ Research contractors before hiring them and get written estimates.
🪪 Ask for identification from anyone claiming to represent a government agency, utility company, or repair service.
💳 Never pay with gift cards, wire transfers, or cryptocurrency, and be cautious of anyone requesting a large upfront payment.
⏳ Be wary of anyone pressuring you to make an immediate decision or claiming the offer is "today only."
❤️ If you're donating to storm relief efforts, verify the charity before giving.
A little research now can save you from a costly scam later.

Wishing our favorite LCSO employee a pawtastic fourth birthday!

Deputy Core has been her handler for 3 years. Their journey together has been Deputy Cores favorite job assignment in his 15-year career in law enforcement. During this time, they have grown to count on each other no matter what the task may be. Tega is a fan favorite no matter where she adventures too!

Sheriff Dodds could not pass up the chance to hang out with Tega for a few moments on a sunny day!

🌧️ Flooding Safety Reminder: If you encounter flooded roads, TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN! 🚗💦

Never drive through floodwaters. Even a few inches of moving water can sweep away a vehicle, and you may not know how deep the water is or what hazards are underneath.

⚠️ If the road is flooded, find another route and stay safe!
