Sharing a fun activity idea for your young children this summer!

We would like to thank the Bellefontaine Lions Club for donating soccer jingle balls to our Special Olympics athletes and the Discovery Center preschool. Jingle balls are specially designed with internal bells that create sound when in motion, allowing players with visual impairments, autism spectrum disorder, or attention deficit disorder to track the ball by ear. These balls improve confidence, ball handling, and inclusion in sports by offering consistent auditory feedback. Members of the Lions Club, Judge Natasha R. Kennedy, Darlene Roll, and Mike Predmore met with Special Olympics athletes today to present their generous donation!

The Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities is currently seeking a Service and Support Administrator (SSA) to fill a current vacancy and help support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their goals and living meaningful lives in their communities. As an SSA, you will work directly with individuals and families to develop person-centered service plans, coordinate supports and resources, facilitate team meetings, monitor services, and advocate for the needs of those you serve.

This full-time position offers:

Qualifications:
✔ Bachelor's degree in Social Services or a related field

📢 NOW HIRING: Occupational Therapist

The Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities and The Discovery Center are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to fill a current vacancy on our team!

This part-time position (32 hours/week, Monday–Thursday) provides occupational therapy services to preschool-aged children, including evaluations, therapy planning, direct services, and collaboration with families and educational teams.

Qualifications include:
✔ Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
✔ Current Ohio Occupational Therapy License
✔ Ohio Professional Pupil Services License
