On June 6, 2026, the BPD K9 Unit initiated a traffic stop on a gray Land Rover due to the driver, Carlos Briscoe, having a felony drug trafficking warrant for his arrest as the result of a lengthy drug trafficking investigation conducted by detectives of the LCSO and BPD. Carlos was ordered out of the vehicle during the stop. K9 Pyro was deployed and assisted in gaining compliance from Carlos on exiting the vehicle and being taken into custody. Carlos complied, to avoid being dog bit, and was taken into custody without incident. Carlos was found to be in possession of a large amount of co***ne, pills, and US Currency. During the stop, K9 Pyro was deployed for a vehicle sniff and gave a positive alert to narcotic odor. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, investigators located a loaded firearm, ma*****na products, and additional cash.
