Therapy K9 Charlee had a busy week at the Summer Enrichment Academy! 🐾
Throughout the week, Charlee made sure to check in on some of her favorite classes, including the Sweet Treats and Cooking classes (quality control is very important, after all! 🍪🧁).
When she wasn't visiting classrooms, Charlee could be found greeting students and families with a wagging tail as they arrived each morning and wishing them a great evening as they headed home.
We always enjoy seeing the smiles Charlee brings to students, staff, and families. Thank you to everyone at the Summer Enrichment Academy for making her feel so welcome this week! 🐾❤️

A huge thank you to the Bellefontaine Fire Department for coming to the rescue at Safety Town today!
With the summer heat bearing down, our Safety Town students were getting hot and uncomfortable. We made a call to our friends at BFD, and they quickly responded to help cool everyone off. The smiles, laughter, and excitement on the kids' faces said it all as they enjoyed some much-needed relief from the heat.
We are grateful for the strong partnership between our public safety agencies and the commitment our firefighters show to the children and families of our community. Thank you, Bellefontaine Fire Department, for always being willing to lend a hand and help make Safety Town a fun and safe experience for everyone!
Feel free to add photos from the event to showcase the firefighters helping the kids cool off.

K9 Pyro🧨has been busy:

On June 2, 2026, K9 Pyro assisted in a proactive enforcement operation which included the Springfield Police Department, Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio State Highway Patrol, OSHP’s aviation section, Clark County Prosecutors Office, Adult Parole Authority, DEA Dayton Office, and the FBI Dayton Office. During this enforcement operation, K9 Pyro assisted in multiple arrests. On one traffic stop, K9 Pyro was deployed for a vehicle sniff and gave a positive alert to narcotic odor. During a probable cause search, investigators located almost a 1/2 lb. of methamphetamine. On a different traffic stop K9 Pyro was again deployed for a vehicle sniff and gave a positive alert to narcotic odor. During a probable cause search, investigators located a loaded firearm being possessed by a convicted felon.

On June 6, 2026, the BPD K9 Unit initiated a traffic stop on a gray Land Rover due to the driver, Carlos Briscoe, having a felony drug trafficking warrant for his arrest as the result of a lengthy drug trafficking investigation conducted by detectives of the LCSO and BPD. Carlos was ordered out of the vehicle during the stop. K9 Pyro was deployed and assisted in gaining compliance from Carlos on exiting the vehicle and being taken into custody. Carlos complied, to avoid being dog bit, and was taken into custody without incident. Carlos was found to be in possession of a large amount of co***ne, pills, and US Currency. During the stop, K9 Pyro was deployed for a vehicle sniff and gave a positive alert to narcotic odor. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, investigators located a loaded firearm, ma*****na products, and additional cash.

Multiple illegal fi****ms and substantial amounts of drugs off the streets. Great job K9 Pyro and investigators!
