Centre County Library and Historical Museum We're a public library with 3 branches, a historical library/ museum, and Bookmobile. Our buildings and the Bookmobile are accessible.

Our resources are free and available to any resident in Centre County. Our libraries offer high speed public computers and wireless access as well. Book, ebooks, music, video, home-bound service, magazines, newspapers, databases, and so much more is at your fingertips at the Centre County Library & Historical Museum. Our Pennsylvania Room, located in our amazing Historical museum specializes in genealogy research and historical research.

Thank you to the The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau for their 2025/2026 grant to help refurbish the downstairs hallway, restroom, and vestibule in our Historical Museum. We were able to fix holes in the walls, remove old cracking wallpaper, and add a fresh coat of paint!
