Centre County will be applying for ESG grant funds, through the Department of Community & Economic Development, to fund a homeless prevention program, emergency shelter services, and Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS) administration. Centre County will be requesting $389,487.88 to fund this project for 18 months. The Board of Commissioners will take action on this proposed grant submission during the Board of Commissioners’ meeting on Tuesday, July 28th, 2026.

A public hearing will be held on Monday, July 20th, 2026, 1:00pm at the Community Services Building (502 E. Howard St., Ste 150, Bellefonte, PA 16823) Written comment will be accepted until Wednesday, July 29th at 5pm and can be submitted to Faith Ryan, Director, Office of Adult Services, via email at [email protected]. Centre County Government’s Office of Adult Services can also be reached at 814-355-6768.

Today kicks off Semiquincentennial Celebration Weekend in Centre County! 🎆🎇
There will be a parade and festivities in Bellefonte beginning at 5:30 pm today.
Tomorrow, festivities will continue, including a parade in State College at 11 am.
Reminder: Our offices are closed today and will re-open Monday, 7/6.

Our 24-hour departments will operate as usual.
