Today, Program Specialist and PA State CARES Coordinator P. Traxler is in Cumberland County attending Cumberland Goodwill EMS’ Resuscitation Academy. The goal here is to improve quality of CPR, make AED’s and trained personnel in communities more accessible, and so much more.

The cool thing is, is that information that is collected by the Cardiac Arrest Registry to Enhance Survival - CARES works hand in hand with this. He was able to present on this information to attendees.

If you are in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and are not participating or have recently participated and fell off, please reach out so that we can get the most data for all the entire Commonwealth captured. Currently we are at 54% of the population of Pennsylvania being covered.

Director Mast and State Coordinator Traxler are looking to improve this data collection in the future.

Does your EMS Agency have these Smart Tag Triage Tags?

While participating in an Active Shooter Drill last week in the western part of the region we recognized that these tag packs do not include a black tag (deceased tag).

After consultation with the company we are working to rectify the situation. At this point, we want to draw your attention to the fact these tags are not in the pack.

Once we have a solution, we will let you know how we can fix this. This is a work in progress. If you have any question reach out to our Program Specialist for licensure.
