WE ARE GROWING! Fire Safety Specialists is seeking a self-motivated and independent individual to service kitchen fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, emergency and exit lighting smoke alarms, and perform dryer vent and duct cleaning for our established and new commercial and residential customers.

Applicant must possess a valid Driver’s license, reliable transportation, reliable cell phone, hs diploma, the ability to read, write and communicate in English, pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Job Functions & Requirements

Conduct fire extinguisher, kitchen fire suppression system, paint booth fire suppression system, and emergency & exit lighting installation, testing and inspections to ensure that systems are operating properly. Document all results in detailed inspection reports and/or discrepancy reports.

Perform residential dryer vent cleaning and smoke detector/alarm services in customer’s homes. Includes some roof work.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Experience, Knowledge, Skill Requirements

3-5 years’ experience servicing fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers preferred, but will train the right candidate. Must be able to work alone and as part of a team. Basic math skills, mechanical aptitude, problem solving skills, customer service skills, decision making skills, ability to multitasking, ability to meet project schedules, ability to plan and organize, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to train other is required.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is consistently required to bend, ascend and descend step stools, ladders and stairs, kneel, lift 50lbs, sit, stoop, twist, and work at heights. Some work on roofs is required.

Work Environment

Frequent local travel and occasional regional travel is required. Employee will frequently be required to work inside and outside in hot/cold temperatures and be exposed to loud noises, cramped quarters, dust, fumes and odors, standing on hard surfaces, and electrical hazards frequently.
