Tonight the new moon is in Ta**us. That means if the moon weren't dark and you could see it, if you looked up to find it in the night sky, you would actually see it within the constellation of Ta**us.
We are also in the season of Ta**us (the bull). Zodiacal seasons correspond to the times when the sun passes through the 12 astrological signs. The dates for these seasons represent the sun's apparent position along the ecliptic - the path the sun takes through the sky over a year. The position of the sun in the sky dictates the astronomical seasons.
In the Bible, the four evangelists (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) correspond with the four fixed signs of the zodiac. This is called the tetramorph and you can find it depicted in cathedrals, art, and iconography all over the world. Matthew is Aquarius (depicted as a man), Mark is Leo (depicted as a Lion), Luke is Ta**us (depicted as an ox), and John is Scorpio (depicted as an eagle).
These fixed signs represent each quarter of the year. The cross which is made when dividing them is the cross of time and matter which is where Jesus died to be transformed into an enlightened being, just as we must go through our own alchemical soul transformations to become enlightened.
The lights in the heavens have profound effects upon us because we are a microcosm of the macrocosm. Talking about these effects is not divination. It is simply recognizing our connection to the lights which God gave us for signs and seasons.
The Bible is not a dusty old book with stories that happened long ago, but a living story of what is happening in our world around us all the time. It is trying to get us to look outside and see what is happening in nature and how that relates to our own lives.
I hope you will join me at my gatherings as we experience these stories together in tangible ways, exploring God's wonders in nature and reading mythologies from all across the world expressing the same truths. And if you are not able to join in person, I invite you to sign up as a paid member on Patreon so that you can receive my posts as we travel through the seasons and I share timely tidbits.
Love and blessings,
Jean
