Last night we recognized an incredible milestone and an even more incredible person.

Thank you, Wes Krummrich, for 50 years of dedicated service to the East Side Fire Protection District. Over the decades, Wes has worn many hats—serving as a line officer, a chief, and most recently as the Fire District President. In every role, his leadership, commitment, and steady presence have helped shape this department into what it is today.

Fifty years of service isn’t just a number—it represents countless calls, long nights, tough decisions, and a lifetime of putting the community first. Wes has left a lasting impact on generations of firefighters and on everyone we serve.

On behalf of the entire East Side Fire family and the community, thank you for your dedication, your leadership, and your legacy.

Congratulations on 50 years, Wes—you’ve truly made a difference.

Engine 2113 had a great afternoon visiting the students at Wingate Elementary School!

Our crew enjoyed spending time with the kids, talking about fire safety, and showing off some of the equipment we use to keep our community safe. The smiles, questions, and excitement made it a memorable visit for everyone.

Thanks for having us, Wingate—we’re always proud to connect with our community!

This weekend, several firefighters traveled out of town to participate in specialized training, to expand their skills and knowledge.

Our firefighters spend countless hours of training annually, so we can bring the very best to those counting on us for fire protection.

When you call, know that we’re ready, prepared, and committed to you.
