Hey, Belleville! Get to know me…

I’m a Mom, Accountant, Music School Owner, proud parent of a Belleville Public School Pre-K student, and candidate for the Belleville Board of Education! 💙💛🍎

I’m a longtime resident of Belleville and chose our town as the place to live and grow my family.

My daughter, Evie, is enrolled in the Belleville Beginners Program at School #5, where my son AJ will soon join his sister.

I’ve spent more than two decades as an accountant for both large and small businesses, specializing in assisting companies and businesses with budget deficits.

Growing up in a family with special needs, I know how important it is that everyone has access to a quality public education and will work on the Board of Education to advocate for every student and family.

I believe in strengthening special education, improving school safety & security, improving academic offerings, and ensuring financial responsibility in our schools.

I’m asking for one of your three votes so that I can work with my colleagues to bring needed change to the Belleville Public Schools.

I’m grateful to be supported by community leaders such as Councilman Frank Vélez, Councilwoman Tracy Juanita Muldrow, and Child Advocates Lissa Missaggia & Jean Rodríguez Gillis.

If you have any questions about my campaign or would like to meet me in person, please message me and I’d love to set some time aside to hear your concerns as I’m running to be an active and accessible Board Member.

Please vote 1E - Cristina Garro - Moms For Belleville BOE by Tuesday, November 4th!

Eleanor Arthur was a teacher in the Belleville School District for 50 years. It was her vision to start a philanthropic foundation that would issue scholarships for Belleville High School students pursuing a degree in education.
Each year the Belleville Education Association consisting of teachers, counselors, nurses, and CST members donate to the Eleanor Arthur Scholarship Fund. Students who apply are required to fill out a form and are screened by a committee.
This year we are proud to announce that we will be awarding two $1500 and three $1,000 scholarships. The recipients of the Eleanor Arthur Scholarship Fund are
* Isaida Velez - $1,500
* Palak Kochhar- $1,500
* Paige Clenaghan- $1,000
* Eric Castillo- $1,000
* Andrew Poveda- $1,000
