Bellevue City Schools is a rural school district focused on preparing our students for success in any environment. The Bellevue School District began in a one-room log house in 1827. The first class to graduate from Bellevue High School was in 1870 wit
h two students receiving their diploma. Today, the Bellevue City School District serves a population of approximately 2,061 students, encompasses 115 square miles and comprises three school buildings - Bellevue Elementary, Bellevue Middle and Bellevue High School. The Bellevue City School District’s student-to-teacher ratio is 17:1 (compared with the state average of 18:1) and the district employs more than 150 certified educators and 80 classified employees (bus drivers, cooks, custodians, maintenance workers, instructional aides, and secretaries), making the district one of the largest employers in the Bellevue area. Bellevue takes great pride in offering excellent athletics, arts, Future Farmers of America, Family Career, and Community Leaders of America, leadership and music programs.
