🚧 Lake Hills Boulevard construction update 🚧 Progress is happening the Kelsey Creek Culvert Replacement Project. Last weekend, crews successfully placed the new culvert into the ground, which is an important milestone in the project!

What's Next? Work continues and Lake Hills Boulevard remains closed between 151st Ave SE and 154th Ave SE through Oct. 1.

Thanks to the traveling community and Lake Hills residents for your patience as crews work to replace this critical piece of infrastructure. We’ll keep sharing updates as work progresses.

🚧 Road Closure Update: Lake Hills Boulevard 🚧 The closure of Lake Hills Blvd between 151st Ave SE and 154th Ave SE has been extended until Oct. 1.

During construction on the Kelsey Creek Culvert Replacement Project, crews encountered unexpected construction challenges that require additional time to safely complete the work.

Detours will remain in place for:
• Road traffic
• Lake to Lake Trail
• Sidewalk
• Crosswalk

We know this extension may be inconvenient, and we sincerely appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as we complete this important project to replace aging infrastructure and reduce long-term flood risk.

🎉 Big news for Bellevue Utilities! We’re grateful to Congresswoman Suzan DelBene for securing $500,000 in federal funding to help advance planning for the Lake Washington Sewer Line Project.

This critical infrastructure protects public health, keeps wastewater flowing safely, and helps preserve the health of Lake Washington.

While this investment is an important milestone, it's just the beginning. This generational project will take decades and continued partnerships to complete.

📍 Sammamish High School (Enter from 140th Ave SE)
📦Limit: 4 file-size boxes or 5 bags per vehicle.

🚫 Please leave these at home:
• Plastic of any kind
• Cardboard
• 3-ring binders
• Computer disks
• X-rays
• Garbage

💡 Did you know? Paper shredded at this event is recycled. Paper shredded at home belongs in the garbage because it's too small to be recycled through curbside programs.

Bellevue students are changing the game on waste reduction 🌎♻️This past school year, more than 7,500 students and staff took on challenges to reduce waste, and the results are in...

🏆 International School won Bellevue Utilities' Race to Refill Challenge by helping reduce single-use plastic bottle waste.
🥗 Sammamish High School and International School tied in the Zero Waste Challenge, cutting lunch waste by nearly 70% during Earth Month.

The photo shows an artist-made trophy that each school received from upcycled materials.

Yesterday, Horizon View neighbors, city leadership and the project team cut the ribbon to the new Horizon View 2 Reservoir and Pump Station, an investment that ensures safe, reliable drinking water and fire protection for our community for decades to come.

They don't go home until the water is on 💙👏💧 After a leak was discovered at a condominium complex between Bellevue Way and 101st Ave NE, Bellevue Utilities crews worked through the night and today to make repairs and restore water service to residents. Huge THANKS to these hardworking professionals for keeping the water flowing!
