🚧 Construction has started on Lake Hills Blvd 🚧 Crews are staging and preparing the site for a two-month road closure starting June 9. We appreciate everyone's patience while crews reconfigure access to the trail, crosswalk and sidewalk.

⚠️ Expect increased construction activity, equipment and travel changes in the coming weeks. Please slow down, follow posted signs and plan ahead when traveling through the area.

🚶‍♀️🚲 The Lake to Lake Trail is now closed in the construction area, and a detour is in place.

A detour map, construction updates, and traffic alerts are available on the Kelsey Creek Culvert Project webpage: www.bellevuewa.gov/kelsey-creek-culvert

What's the latest on the flooding on SE 26th St - Kamber Rd? We installed two “beaver deceivers” to help reduce flooding caused by some clever beavers with great dam engineering skills.

🦫The first beaver deceiver already lowered water levels by about 6 inches and cleared standing water from the roadway.
🦫 Crews will continue working downstream to provide even more relief while protecting local habitat.

Did you know the city is already planning for future garbage, recycling, and compost services? A new contract will begin in 2028, and the goal is simple: ensure service is reliable, affordable, and environmentally friendly.

What’s being prioritized for our community?
✅ Alignment with best practices locally and nationally
✅ Responsive to community needs
✅ Compliance with state laws and local policy
✅ Leverage technology and data opportunities

🗓️ What’s next?
Later this year, the city will begin reviewing proposals from service providers and will make a decision early next year.

💬 Community feedback is important. You can find a detailed list of priorities for our community and provide feedback at www.BellevueWa.gov/future-solid-waste

🚧 Construction and lane closures have started on Lake Hills Boulevard 🚧

Here’s what to expect:
🟡Late April–May: Intermittent lane closures on Lake Hills Blvd between 151st and 154th Ave SE, with flaggers guiding traffic.
🟡June–July: Full closure of Lake Hills Blvd between 151st and 154th Ave SE. Detour signs will be in place.
