This afternoon at 1200 hours, Sgt. Tenore and his partner, K9 Suki stopped a vehicle near Attwood Terrace for a traffic violation.

While obtaining driver and passenger information, Sgt. Tenore smelled a strong odor of burnt ma*****na coming from inside the vehicle. The driver and passenger were removed from the vehicle and separated. K9 Suki was deployed around the vehicle for a free air sniff. K9 Suki alerted on the vehicle. K9 Suki is trained/certified in 4 drug odors he**in, co***ne, methamphetamine and crack.

A search of the vehicle resulted in approximately 13.5 grams of Methamphetamine and several drug paraphernalia items being located as well as cash being seized.

This evening at 1819 hours, Officer Smith stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on N. Sandusky near Green Street. Sergeant Tenore and K9 Suki assisted Officer Smith responded to Officer Smith location to assist with th stop. During the stop the back seat passenger was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Huron County Sheriff’s Office. K9 Suki was then deployed around the vehicle for a free air sniff.

K9 Suki alerted on the vehicle and a search was conducted. The search resulted in drug abuse instrument (hypodermic syringes), drug paraphernalia, pills and Suboxone being located. The male with the warrant and another back seat passenger was arrested and charged appropriately. Both males were later transported to Huron County Jail without issues.

This afternoon, Sgt. Tenore and his partner K9 Suki stopped a vehicle on E. Center Street and McKim Street for a moving violation.

During the traffic stop, K9 Suki was deployed around the vehicle for a free air sniff. K9 Suki displayed a change in behavior followed by a positive alert on the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in suspected Methamphetamine being located. The driver was subsequently arrested for Tampering with evidence due to him trying to eat the Methamphetamine.

Yesterday evening at approximately 2058 hours, Officer Green and Sgt. Tenore located a male suspect in the 200 block of Madden Street. The suspect had felony and misdemeanor criminal charges stemming from an earlier incident.

The suspect fled from officers as officers approached him and after a short foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody without incident. However, the suspect attempted to destroy evidence (illegal drugs) while he was trying to run from officers. Sgt. Tenore deployed K9 Suki on a discarded bag and K9 Suki alerted on the bag resulting in a search of the bag. Furthermore, Officer Green located the bag of Methamphetamine that the suspect attempted to destroy but wasn’t fully successful. The suspect was turned over to HCSO.

Today, August 5th, at 1731 hours, Officer Smith stopped a vehicle on Monroe Street/Cherry Blvd for an equipment violation. During the stop, Officer Smith requested Sergeant Tenore and K9 Suki to assist. K9 Suki was deployed around the vehicle for a free air sniff. K9 Suki alerted on the vehicle and a subsequent search was conducted resulting in suspected Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia being located. The evidence will be sent for lab testing and then presented to a Grand Jury.

Today at 1944 hours, Officer Smith conducted a traffic stop on Cherry Blvd for an equipment violation. During the stop, Sergeant Tenore and K9 Suki were requested for a free air sniff.

K9 Suki was deployed around the vehicle. K9 Suki displayed a change in behavior followed by a positive alert. A subsequent search was done resulting in drug paraphernalia and an unknown powder being located. The female driver was released pending lab results.

On Monday, July 21st, 2025, at 2113 hours, Officer Smith, Sergeant Tenore and his partner, K9 Suki, responded to First National Bank for an unresponsive male in the drive-through. Upon locating the male, it was apparent the male was under the influence of alcohol or illegal narcotics.

Shortly after, the male was awakened by officers and he denied medical treatment. Officer Smith conducted an investigation in to the matter and determined the male was under the influence of narcotics. K9 Suki was deployed around the vehicle for a free air sniff. K9 Suki alerted on the vehicle and a search was conducted. The search resulted in Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia being located in the vehicle. The driver was arrested for OVI (operating a vehicle while under the influence). Additional charges will be sent to a grand jury once lab results come back.

Today, June 27th, 2025, at 1602 hours, Officer Rodriguez stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of Monroe Street for a moving violation. OSHP and Sgt. Tenore/K9 Suki was assisted with the stop. During the initial contact with the driver, he was found to be suspended license and had a warrant for his arrest. The driver was detained and Sgt. Tenore deployed his partner, K9 Suki, around the vehicle for a free air sniff.

K9 Suki had a change in behavior followed by a positive alert. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in illegal drug paraphernalia and money being seized. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.

On Friday, June 6th, 2025, at 1813 hours, Sgt. Tenore and K9 Suki were conducting traffic enforcement on E. Main Street near State Route 4. During this time, Sgt. Tenore stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. Sgt. Tenore made contact with the occupants and during the encounter, Sgt. Tenore deployed K9 Suki around the vehicle for a free air sniff. K9 Suki alerted on the vehicle and a search was conducted. As a result of the search, several drug paraphernalia items were located. Sgt. Tenore also located suspected crack co***ne in the female passengers personal property. The female passenger was arrested and charged accordingly.

On Wednesday, June 4th, 2025 at approximately 1933 hours, Officer Smith stopped a vehicle in the area of E. Center Street and South Sandusky Street for several traffic violations. During the stop, the female driver was found to have two (2) felony warrants related to drugs and weapons violations. Sgt. Tenore and K9 Suki were requested by Officer Smith. Upon arrival and after speaking with Officer Smith, it was determined to deploy K9 Suki around the vehicle for a free air sniff.

K9 Suki was deployed and during the deployment, K9 Suki alerted on the vehicle. A search was conducted and as a result of the search drug paraphernalia, ammo and a firearm was located. The female driver was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and having weapons while under disability.
