🎓 CONGRATULATIONS!! 🎓

The Bellevue Fire Department Club would like to congratulate LilliAnn Jarrett on being selected as this year’s scholarship recipient!

LilliAnn will be attending The University of Findlay this fall, where she will be studying Animal Science.

This past week a couple members of the Bellevue Fire Dept took the opportunity to train in Napoleon with instructors from SATRA covering rope rescue specific to grain facilities. Members worked from height to simulate rescues from multiple scenarios. Gaining knowledge and skill in technical rope rescue. The instructors from SATRA were top-notch. This type of training is hard to put together due to such demanding needs and capabilities. We are thankful for the opportunity to participate in this training and highly recommend this to any department looking to further their technical rope rescue skill

Tomorrow (Sunday, July 19th) the 2026 Tribute To Fallen Soldiers Memorial Torch Motorcycle Ride will be traveling through Bellevue on their way to the Adkins Home to honor the service and sacrifice of ARMY SFC CHARLES L. ADKINS.

The 17th annual ride started on July 11th in Eugene, Oregon and will be making their 2,500 mile journey through 18 states, traveling 24 days, and making 52 fallen soldier home visits.

The ride will be coming into town at approximately 12:45-1:00 pm on US 20 from the west, turning left onto Memorial Way, left onto North Street, and then right onto North Sandusky Street (SR 269) heading to the Adkins Home.

Let’s show our support and honor our fallen soldiers as they pass by the area of Central Park and our own Fallen Soldier’s Memorial.

The Bellevue Fire Department is thrilled to announce the generous donation of CPR training equipment from Barton Malow
Through their generous support, the department has received 10 Preston CPR Manikins, including:
• 4 Adult Manikins
• 2 Child Manikins
• 4 Infant Manikins
These training devices provide instant audio and visual feedback, helping users see, hear, and feel whether they are performing high-quality CPR correctly. This real-time guidance reinforces proper compression depth, rate, and technique, creating a more effective, realistic training experience.
This equipment will enhance the Bellevue Fire Department's ability to provide CPR instruction to firefighters, first responders, and community members, helping improve lifesaving skills throughout our community.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Barton Malow for their commitment to public safety and their investment in emergency preparedness. Their generosity will help us train more individuals in high-quality CPR and ultimately contribute to saving lives.

The BFD wants to give a shout out to Clyde Fire Department for coming to help today with the flag. There was a plan in place and times were looking really good for us to all be set up early, but much to everyone's surprise, the BIGBOY made better time coming from Fostoria than expected. So we dont want anyone thinking they were late to the party. We are glad to have such great neighboring departments who are willing to help.

💥REMINDER💥
Over the next few weeks the water department will be out flowing hydrants. As this gets done, A 2 inch wide tape will go below the bonnet of the hydrant. Please do not paint over this tape. The color of the tape provides us with the flow rate of each particular hydrant. The reflective tape also helps us to better locate hydrants at night. Flow rates can determine the strategy and resources needed incase of an emergency. The following are the flow rates for each color.

Blue- 1500 or more GPM
Green- 1000-1499 GPM
Orange- 500-999 GPM
Red- Below 500 GPM
