Bellevue Fire and Rescue Department

The Bellevue Fire Department is currently comprised of 164 members dedicated to providing excellent and expedient Emergency Medical Services, Fire Prevention, Fire Suppression and other emergency services. Responders have various levels of advanced training in EMS and Fire operations, but, at a minimum are all trained and certified as Emergency Medical Technician-Basic, Firefighter I, and Hazmat Awareness. The department is also fortunate to paramedics that can provide Advanced Life Support, Hazmat Technicians for advanced chemical and hazardous material(s) detection and mitigation, Firefighter II and III, and other areas of expertise. The Training Site is a state-of-the-art fire simulation facility and includes a classroom facility utilized by local, state law enforcement and fire departments. The department averages over 4,500 emergency calls per year with the vast majority of calls requiring EMS treatment and transport. Over 2,900 patients were transported in 2016.
