Have you experienced Mont Rest Bed & Breakfast? If you are like about 95% of Bellevue and Jackson County residents, that answer is: NO.

Fortunately, for those that haven't experienced Mont Rest, they host themed dinners EVERY weekend! (Reservations required.)

Saturday night, I was part of a group of 6 locals that attended a murder mystery dinner at Mont Rest. There, we meet a group of 6 people from Rock Island County. Of the Rock Island group, 2 of the couples were repeat guests. They have been to Mont Rest a half dozen, or so, times over the years for the themed dinners. They brought another couple with them that were first-timers.

They, along with our group of locals, sat in the living room in our themed attire. We discussed the case at hand. The goal was to figure out, "who did it." By the end of the night a few of the group members had it figured out. (The #$&/÷@! did it!)

The meal... oh my goodness, the meal. It was AMAZING. Mont Rest offers amazing chef inspired appetizers, desserts and dinners.

It's amazing how Bellevue people travel to participate in entertainment and meals like this. Yet, we don't part take in the one we have it right in our own backyard. (YES, I was guilty of this too.)

All 6 of us "locals" loved the murder mystery and the meal. We have plans to do it again. Next time, atleast one of our couples is planning on getting the entire Mont Rest experience. They will be spending the night.

More Christmas lights! A local group called Light Up Riverview organized people to decorate North and South Riverview. The lights you see on the riverside of Riverview... ALL DONE BY VOLUNTEERS! Well done! VERY Well done!

Field Of Chocolate Dreams sells local products. Not only are their candies, cookies and treats made on-site, they sell local wine that is made by Tabor Wines and soaps from Homestead and Hammer! The perfect example of shopping local, while shopping local. 🙂
