The Bellevue Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance regarding a hit-and-run crash involving a portable traffic light that occurred sometime between late evening on May 13, 2026, and the early morning hours of May 14, 2026.

Officers are looking for a vehicle believed to be a 2007–2014 Chevrolet Tahoe or Chevrolet Suburban with damage to the center and/or passenger side of the vehicle.

If you have any information regarding this incident or the whereabouts of the vehicle, please contact the Bellevue Police Department.

Any information may be helpful to the investigation!

Bellevue residents, please be aware of a reported phone scam involving a male caller falsely identifying himself as “Marc Linder, Chief of Police.” The caller ID may even display the non-emergency phone number for the Bellevue Police Department.

The scammer has claimed that there is a case involving the resident and that they have “purchased hazardous materials.”
This is NOT a call from our department, and NOT from Chief Linder.

If you receive a similar call:
❌ Do NOT provide any personal information
❌ Do NOT give bank or financial information
❌ Hang up immediately

Attention Bellevue Residents:

Eastbound Route 20 from Copp Road until just passed Amcor is currently closed due to a serious traffic crash involving a utility pole. This also has knocked out power in the local area around Amcor. There is currently no estimate for when power or full traffic will be restored. Please allow extra time if traveling in that area. Thank you and be safe!

Found Dog Alert - Attention Bellevue residents, we had a concerned citizen bring the pup below to us at our station. The dog was found loose near the roadway at Route 4 and Route 20. The Huron County Dog Warden was notified and will be picking this scared pup up first thing in the morning but we would rather reunite with the owner before then! If you recognize the dog below or know the owner, please have them contact our department ASAP!
