Captain Thomas W. Saleski

The Bellevue Police Department proudly recognizes Captain Thomas W. Saleski on the occasion of his retirement after 25 years of dedicated service to the City of Bellevue.

Captain Saleski began his career with the Bellevue Police Department in 2001 as a full-time patrolman. Throughout his distinguished career, he continued to demonstrate dedication, professionalism, and a strong commitment to serving the citizens of our community. He later served as a Detective before being promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2013, where he served as a shift supervisor.

In 2019, Captain Saleski was promoted to the rank of Captain, where he oversaw the daily operations of the Bellevue Police Department and continued to provide leadership, guidance, and support to the officers and staff of the department.

Throughout his 25 years of service, Captain Saleski’s dedication and commitment to the City of Bellevue and its citizens have been greatly appreciated. His years of service and contributions to the department will not be forgotten.

From all of us at the Bellevue Police Department and the City of Bellevue, we sincerely thank you for your 25 years of service, dedication, and commitment. We wish you all the best in your well-deserved retirement.

We need help reuniting this friendly pup with their owner! They were found loose in the area of Yorkshire and Brandon Blvd. Currently they are at the Bellevue Police Department. If this is your dog or you know who is the rightful owner, please have them call us immediately! If we are not able to locate the dog owner soon, we will have to contact the dog warden.

UPDATED: As of 545 PM the owner was able to pick this pup up and he has been reunited with his family!

Did you lose a super friendly pup? Hes been on a bit of an adventure running wild and free in the area of Hamilton St. We were able to catch up to this friendly fellow and we currently have him at the station. Sadly we are not set up for long term housing and the Sandusky County Dog Warden will be picking him up shortly. If this is your dog contact us ASAP as he will likely be picked up in the next 20 minutes!

There is a heavy presence of Law Enforcement in the city of Bellevue. Please use caution when in the area. Leroy is wearing all black clothing and is considered armed and dangerous. He is approximately 5’8 175 lbs light brown hair that is longer than in this photograph. He has multiple face tattoos (even more than in the photo). If you see someone matching his description please call 911 and do not approach. He was last seen near Kilbourne St on foot.

The Bellevue Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance regarding a hit-and-run crash involving a portable traffic light that occurred sometime between late evening on May 13, 2026, and the early morning hours of May 14, 2026.

Officers are looking for a vehicle believed to be a 2007–2014 Chevrolet Tahoe or Chevrolet Suburban with damage to the center and/or passenger side of the vehicle.

If you have any information regarding this incident or the whereabouts of the vehicle, please contact the Bellevue Police Department.
