Our Transportation team is ready to get our Beloved Community up and running for the 2026-2027 school year! Over the summer, the team worked hard to finalize routes and prepare staff through driver trainings. Congratulations to our Transportation Mechanics who earned a 99% on the Washington State Patrol summer bus inspection! This score reflects the team’s commitment to providing safe, reliable transportation for our students. Thank you to our Transportation team for getting us road-ready for a great school year ahead!

Check your bus routes on bsd405.org or with the Stopfinder app. And don’t forget, the first day of school for grades 1-12 is on a Wednesday — so bus routes will be running on the Wednesday early dismissal schedule. City of Bellevue, Washington - Governmentand Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) have also shared reminders about updated speed limits, speed cameras, and school traffic safety. Visit their pages for more details!

See you on the first day of school, Bellevue!

Long before the first day of school in Bellevue, our educators and leaders have been preparing to welcome back our Beloved Community.

Over the last few weeks, our Teaching and Learning team held their annual Leadership Institute and Summer Institute where our leaders and teachers came together to learn, collaborate and connect. Through various workshops and collaborative sessions, our teachers explored literacy and language development, math, AI and more — while our leaders analyzed our student support systems to ensure every student receives the right support at the right time.

Our teachers and leaders are gearing up for the first day of school! Mark your calendars for the first day, Bellevue!

Our Lake Hills Elementary, Odle Middle, and Sammamish High School communities are making the most out of their summer with their Principal Picnic event! ☀️🍔

Earlier this week, principals from all three schools gathered with students, families and community members for an afternoon filled with food, fun and connection. With support from the BSD Welcome Center and Jubilee REACH, they served hot dogs, burgers and snacks; answered questions; and helped families get ready for the first day of school.

We hope you enjoy your summer weekend before the first day of school, BSD!

They also finalized some exciting new recipes — keep an eye out for new items like scratch made tomato soup, new breakfast sandwiches and Korean BBQ bibimbap!

A reminder for families: the school meal benefit application is available now! Don’t forget to apply every year! ✅ Thank you to our Nutrition Services team for keeping our students fueled, nourished and ready to learn!
