Here at we are a family. Thank you to everyone who came out for our second winter hike of the year! We had a blast hiking the woods in our neighborhood where we gathered nature treasures for an art project and enjoyed a snack all together by a beautiful stream. Our little community is all about building strong families through the gathering and fostering of relationships between caregivers, students and teachers alike. We are stronger together! Are you looking for a developmentally appropriate preschool? Since 1965, Eastgate Cooperative Preschool has taught students through play-based discovery, hands-on exploration, and social connection with guidance from experienced and compassionate teachers. As a cooperative, ECP caregivers work in the classroom 2-3 times per month, maintaining 1:4 adult-to-child ratio, observing child’s cognitive, behavioral, and social growth first-hand.
ECP caregivers attend Parent Education classes held monthly, supporting parents with the tools to be successful in the classroom and at home. Bellevue College is cutting programs due to a budget shortfall and is considering eliminating the Parent Education Program, which Eastgate Cooperative Preschool has been a part of for 60 years.

Thank you to everyone who made it to our welcome picnic last week! What a gorgeous and fun day we all had. Our Bears program is packed full this year and our Dino program welcomed several new members - we love introducing all our new friends to our collaborative and play-based programming! Our first week back in school was brimming with lots of energy and excitement. Thanks to our teachers, Teacher Si, Teacher Janelle, and Teacher Leng for creating such a warm and welcoming space for all our sweet Bears and Dinos (and their parents too!!)- here’s to another great year at ECP!

At Eastgate Co-op Preschool, learning is hands-on and full of joy!

This week, our little chefs rolled up their sleeves and made delicious apple pies — measuring, filling, folding, and sealing each one.

We also explored our creative side with clay crafting! The children used sculpting tools to mold their ideas into wonderful creations—working with their hands and imaginations to express themselves through art.

From baking to building, every day is a chance to grow, explore, and create together. We’re so proud of our curious, capable kids!

Eastgate Cooperative Preschool Field Trip Fun! 🐾🚌🌿

This week, our little explorers went on a super exciting field trip—and it was wildly fun! 🦜🦙🦌

The kids were full of smiles, giggles, and the best questions ever. Watching their eyes light up with wonder was the sweetest thing!

A big thank you to our wonderful teachers and grown-up helpers who made the day extra special. We love creating magical memories like these with our preschool family. 💛
