Bittersweet news, Hawks!
The military life loves a plot twist, and due to sudden relocation orders, our family will be moving this summer. Because of this, I will no longer be able to serve as your PTA President for the upcoming school year.
Leaving this community is incredibly hard. I am so deeply grateful for the wonderful memories, the friendships, and the strong community weโve had the privilege of forming during our time here. Serving this school has been a true joy, and I am so proud of everything we've done together to support our amazing students and staff!
While Iโm sad to step away, I am thrilled to share that the PTA is in the absolute best hands! Mrs. Megan Palmer has stepped up to the plate to fill the position of President, and the wonderful Mrs. Laura Cartmell has put her name forward to fill our vacancy as Vice President. Due to the unusual nature of a post election vacancy, we thought we'd make a final call for anyone interested in the position the opportunity to step forward. If we aren't contacted by any other nominees, the board will vote Laura in effective 6/15.
The board is already full of fresh ideas, energy, and excitement, and I know this next school year is going to be phenomenal -- I'll be cheering everyone on from afar!
Thank you all for everything ๐ Once a Hawk, always a Hawk! ๐
