2026-2027 Leadership Retreat final day! Day 3 of the Bellflower Unified School District Leadership Retreat marked the official launch into the 2026–27 school year! 🎉

District and site leaders came together to reconnect, recharge, and strengthen their shared vision for leadership that puts students first. Through meaningful conversations centered on relationship-building, student engagement, and capturing the hearts of every learner, our leaders are ready to build on the progress ahead.💙

Day 2 of BUSD’s Leadership Retreat in San Diego was all about setting the standard. 🌟

Our leaders engaged in meaningful learning with guest speaker Dr. Paul Gothold, exploring instructional leadership as soul work—leading with love, maintaining accountability, building trust, and inspiring others through courage.

Together, we also strengthened our commitments for 2026–27, focused on academic recovery and institutional momentum, clarified expectations, and continued shaping our Framework for the Future through our Learner Profile and Learning Model.

Grounded in purpose. Connected as a team. Ready to lead with impact.

Night one in San Diego! 💙

Bellflower Unified’s leaders, principals, and assistant principals have come together for our first-ever Leadership Retreat… a new tradition focused on learning, planning, team building, and strategically preparing for an incredible year ahead.

Tonight was all about connection: welcoming new team members, strengthening relationships, sharing laughs over games and s’mores, and, of course, dancing to Caballo Dorado! 💃🕺Check out the last slide Dr. Erin M. Simon nailed it!
