The event that we are at is the Lakewood Education Association Golf Tournament dinner to raise funds for Lakewood students

This Paxton, Patterson lab class at Bellfower High is being evaluated for a Golden Bell award. Available at Bellflower and Mayfair High schools, this is a class that gives kids beginning training experience in a number of different medical areas to give students a chance to try different careers to see if they want to pursue one of them. They also get to go to Lakewood Regional Hospital and shadow a doctor in the operating room. I look forward to bringing more advanced, career-oriented programs like this to our schools.
