🚨 Bellingham Remains Under a Level 2 – Significant Drought 🚨
The Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs has continued the Level 2 – Significant Drought designation for our region. While recent rainfall has provided some relief, groundwater and streamflow conditions remain below normal, and water conservation remains important.
đź’§ What Residents Can Do
Please help conserve water by:
• Limiting outdoor watering to only what is necessary for the health and safety of plants.
• Watering during early morning or evening hours to reduce evaporation.
• Avoiding washing vehicles at home whenever possible.
• Using a broom instead of a hose to clean driveways, sidewalks, and patios.
• Repairing leaking faucets, toilets, irrigation systems, and outdoor spigots.
• Running dishwashers and washing machines only with full loads.
The Town of Bellingham continues to closely monitor water supply conditions and will provide updates as conditions change.
Every gallon saved helps protect our water resources and ensures a reliable water supply for residents, businesses, and public safety needs.
