To the Officers and Members of American Legion Post 7,

It is with a heavy heart that I submit my resignation as Commander of American Legion Post 7, effective immediately.

This has been one of the most difficult decisions I have ever had to make. For the past 30 years, Post 7 has been more than just an organization to me—it has been a second family. During that time, I have had the privilege of serving in many capacities, including 12 years on the Executive Board, and most recently as your Commander. Every role has been an honor, and I have been humbled by the trust and confidence you have placed in me.

After much reflection, I have realized that I need to dedicate my time and energy to my own family. They need me now more than ever, and I must make them my highest priority. While I know this is the right decision, it does not make it any easier. FAMILY FIRST.

I want to sincerely thank every member of Post 7 for the friendships, support, and memories we've shared over the years. Together we have celebrated successes, overcome challenges, honored our veterans, and strengthened our Post. Those experiences will stay with me for the rest of my life.

I have every confidence that the leadership and members of Post 7 will continue to move forward with the same dedication, integrity, and commitment to veterans that have always defined this Post. I look forward to watching its continued success as a proud member.

Thank you for allowing me the privilege of serving you. Being your Commander has been one of the greatest honors of my life, and I will always be grateful for the opportunity. Although I am stepping away from this position, my respect and love for Post 7 and its members will never change.

May God bless each of you, our veterans, and American Legion Post 7.
