A huge thank you to First Congregational Church in Bellingham for hosting a wonderful dinner and concert fundraiser in support of Habitat for Humanity in Whatcom County this past Saturday evening!

Guests enjoyed an evening of delicious food, beautiful music, and community connection, all while supporting Habitat's mission of building strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who attended, volunteered, performed, and helped organize the event, more than $5,800 was raised to support local families and affordable housing opportunities in Whatcom County.

We are deeply grateful to First Congregational Church and everyone who made this special evening possible. Your support helps us continue building homes, communities, and hope.

We are incredibly grateful to all the Whatcom County residents who have donated to Habitat for Humanity's Cars for Homes program!

Cars for Homes is a simple way to turn an unused vehicle into lasting change. Whether it's a car, truck, motorcycle, RV, or boat, donated vehicles help fund Habitat's work to build safe, affordable housing for local families. The process is easy, vehicle pickup is included, and every donation helps support our mission right here in Whatcom County.

The impact of this program continues to amaze us. In the month of May alone, Cars for Homes donations generated more than $11,000 to support Habitat for Humanity in Whatcom County. That's $11,000 invested in building homes, strengthening communities, and creating opportunities for families to thrive.

Neighbors helping neighbors—that's what community looks like.

Over the last few weeks, Habitat volunteers completed two aging-in-place home repair projects to help local homeowners remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the homes they love.

🏡 In Acme, volunteers repaired and replaced the underpinning and an access panel for a homeowner.
🏡 In Maple Falls, volunteers built a deck railing and handrail to improve safety and accessibility.

These projects are about more than repairs—they help homeowners live safely in place, maintain independence, and continue building memories in the homes they cherish.

Project made possible by a grant from AARP. We're grateful for their support in helping make projects like these possible.
