Salish Youth Council

Salish Youth Council We're a youth group from Lummi Nation who are fundraising for a trip to Portland, Oregon. The trip is a Native Youth conference that is in June 2014.

As you know there are many Native Americans families in our community that go without proper food, shelter, and essential medical care every day due to a variety of factors including low wages, job loss, injuries, illness, age, domestic violence, or divorce. While all of us are susceptible to hard times, Native children are most at risk. That is why we have decided to create the Salish Youth Council.

We went to the Wellness Recovery CENTER.. to volunteer with their BBQ, tonight.. We got to visit with Pastor Tyron and his boys band.. also a famous Gospel Rapper Pastor Frost ..
