Such a special day in Meridian! Our seniors returned to where it all began, walking the halls of Irene Reither Elementary School and Meridian Middle School in their caps and gowns. Moments like these are so inspiring for our younger students, showing them what’s possible with hard work and perseverance! The countdown is on… just a few more hours until they walk the stage!

Congratulations to our graduates! The future is bright!

The Cascadia Daily News brought together seniors from high schools across Whatcom and Skagit counties for a discussion about today's world. MHS senior Logan Ignacio represented Meridian.

From the article: "I think when you go into discussions, you just have to recognize that fundamentally, you do believe in the same things. We all want the best for ourselves. We all want the best for the people that we care about. We all want the best for our country or our environment. We might just have a different way of going about that."

In discussions, students from Whatcom, Skagit tackled artificial intelligence, affordability and polarization

Today our Irene Reither Elementary School 5th graders took an exciting step toward middle school with a visit to Meridian Middle School! Students were warmly welcomed by Principal Robert Kratzig and Assistant Principal Jill Hammack, who helped kick off the day. They then split into small tour groups led by 7th and 8th grade leadership students. Our student leaders did an outstanding job guiding tours and answering questions as they walked 5th graders around the school. Their support helped our future Trojans feel more comfortable and confident about the transition to middle school this fall. A big thank you to Meridian Middle School staff and student leaders for making this such a positive and welcoming experience!

Meridian Middle School students are turning old newspapers into something extraordinary! From creative “Cake Wars” in sixth grade to imaginative open-ended projects in the upper grades, students are bringing papier-mâché to life in fun (and sometimes messy!) ways. Take a look at the creativity happening in Mrs. Yeager's art class!
