We had such a fantastic time at the Blaine parade! It was great catching up with familiar faces, meeting new people, and hearing so much encouragement along the route.

Every conversation reminds us that our community wants experienced leadership and a prosecutor who will focus on public safety while using sound judgment. That’s exactly what Dona Bracke is committed to bringing to the Prosecutor’s Office.

Showing up for our community often means standing in silence and reflecting on the words of community members, speaking out about the history of our nation, and the hope for the future that one day all men and women will be treated as equals.

Today, I had the honor to watch the city of Bellingham and community members raise the Juneteenth flag. The original flag was created in 1997 and revised by activist Ben Haith. It symbolizes the end of slavery, freedom, and opportunity for Black Americans.

What a wonderful day at the Lynden Farmer’s Day Parade!

This parade is such a special Whatcom County tradition, celebrating Lynden’s agricultural roots, the farmers and families who help feed our communities, and the spirit of neighbors coming together.

I’m so grateful to everyone who walked with me, supported me, waved from the sidelines, and showed up today. Your encouragement means more than I can say.

I was truly happy to be part of such an amazing local tradition and to spend the day connecting with so many people across our community.

Today we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Memorial Day is a time to reflect on the sacrifices made by so many and the families who continue to carry that loss.

I extend my gratitude to those who served and especially to those who never made it home. We remember you today and always. 🇺🇸
