☀️🥵 WHEN THE TEXAS HEAT SAYS “NOPE”… YOU FIND YOURSELF A HUMAN! 🐾😂

Meet this young male Pittie mix who apparently decided that the only reasonable response to this ridiculous Texas heat was to move into a kind citizen’s garage on Briarwood! 😂

And honestly… we can’t blame him.

He was so desperate for relief from the heat that he sought shelter at a good Samaritan’s home, where they immediately gave him food, water, and a safe place to wait until I could get there. ❤️

When I arrived, this sweet boy absolutely melted. 🥹 He cowered right at my feet, laid himself directly on top of my boots, and just looked up at me with those eyes while panting like crazy from the heat. I sat down with him and he immediately said, “Yep. You’re my person now.” 😂❤️

Then he rolled over and gave me his belly like we had known each other forever. He was SO happy to be loved on.

Once we got him back to the kennel, cooled down, and gave him some food and water, his personality really came out!

🎾 PLAYFUL.
💦 LOVES THE WATER HOSE.
❤️ SUPER SWEET.
🐶 TOTAL LOVEBUG.

Apparently, this boy went from “Please save me from the heat!” to “SPRAY ME WITH THE HOSE, HUMAN!” real quick. 😂💦

If his family isn’t looking for him, then we’re going to need someone to step up and give this sweet boy the loving home he clearly deserves. ❤️

PLEASE SHARE! His people may be desperately searching for him right now, or his future family may be seeing this post for the very first time. ❤️🐾

🚨🍩 **WAS HE HEADED TO COLLINS STREET BAKERY FOR BREAKFAST?! 🍩🚨

Okay, folks… this sweet boy may have a serious case of the breakfast munchies! 😂🐾

This handsome guy was found in the middle of the 2000 block of Harrison St. today by a kind citizen who stopped and kept him safely out of the roadway until I arrived.

Funny enough, we had sightings of him yesterday at Collin Street Bakery — which is literally across the street from where he was found today! I tried to catch him yesterday, but this little guy apparently had places to be and completely outmaneuvered me. 😂🥵🏃‍♀️

Maybe he was just headed back to the bakery this morning to try his luck at scoring some sweet treats! 🍩🥐🤣

But here’s the important part: he is definitely someone’s buddy. ❤️🥰

He was found wearing a brown leather collar and dragging a blue and white leash. So somewhere out there, somebody is missing this goofy, lovable guy.

He is now safe at our kennel at the PD, and let me tell you… he has already made himself right at home. He is SUPER loving, playful, and friendly, and the second I gave him some food, he absolutely went to town like he hadn’t seen a meal in weeks! 😂🍗

And apparently, he has already decided he wants a career change because he kept trying to jump into the cab of my truck like he was ready to go on patrol with me! 🚔🐶

Unfortunately buddy, we already have enough troublemakers on patrol. 😂

PLEASE SHARE! 🙏❤️ We want to get this sweet boy back home with his family as quickly as possible. If you recognize him or know who he belongs to, please contact Bellmead Animal Control / Bellmead PD. Let’s find this handsome boy’s family! ❤️🐾

And somebody better tell him… Collin Street Bakery is NOT part of his breakfast patrol route. 😂🍩🚔

Meet Hope 💔🐾

Sometimes, they don’t need to be rescued… they just need someone to finally notice them.

Hope was found on Lewis St. after she walked right up to one of our kind-hearted citizens during the blistering Texas heat.He said it was almost as if she walked up to him and asked for help. And honestly… look at her. 😭

This poor girl is severely emaciated and desperately needs some TLC. Her little body has clearly been through more than she ever should have had to endure. Yet somehow, she kept going.

She walked.
She survived the heat.
And when she finally found someone willing to stop and help, she didn’t run.

She asked for help… and thankfully, someone listened. 🥺❤️

We don’t know Hope’s story yet. We don’t know where she came from, how long she’s been struggling, or how she ended up in this condition.

But we do know this: Her story doesn’t have to end here! 🦸‍♀️👍☺️❤️

From this moment forward, Hope gets a chance to be safe. A chance to eat. A chance to rest. A chance to feel what it’s like to be loved.

And maybe, just maybe, the name Hope is exactly what she needed.

Welcome to Bellmead Animal Control, sweet girl. Your hardest days are behind you now. 🐾

If anyone recognizes Hope or has information about where she may have come from, please contact Bellmead Animal Control.

And to the citizen who stopped when Hope needed someone most — thank you. You may have quite literally saved her life. ❤️

🌴 Apparently this guy heard “San Jose” and thought we meant California… 🌊☀️

Instead of finding sandy beaches and ocean waves, he ended up taking a detour to San Jose Street in Bellmead. Safe to say he’s a little disappointed. 😂 This handsome bully mix is now hanging out with us while we try to track down his family. His split-colored face makes him one of the most unique pups we’ve had in a while—you definitely don’t see a face like that every day!

📍 Found on San Jose St.

If this beach-seeking adventurer belongs to you, or you know where he calls home, please contact Bellmead Animal Control.

Please share to help this sweet boy trade kennel life for couch life! ❤️🐾

🚨 FOUND…and we’re pretty sure he ignored the “Don’t feed him after midnight” rule. 👀🐾

Meet Gizmo (because honestly…what else could his name be? 😂) This energetic little furball has apparently been on a neighborhood adventure along Williams Dr. for the last couple of days, keeping everyone entertained—and one family’s security cameras working overtime! Every few minutes…there he was again. 🏃💨📹 Thankfully, some incredibly kind residents took him in, treated him to a brisket dinner (talk about eating better than the rest of us! 🤣), made sure he had plenty of water, and kept him safe until I arrived.Gizmo is wearing a black collar, but unfortunately does not have a microchip. If this whirlwind of chaos belongs to you, please contact Bellmead Animal Control and be prepared to provide proof of ownership. Now let’s find Gizmo’s humans…before he starts multiplying. 😉👹❤️

🚧🐱 From a Construction Site to a Second Chance… ❤️

Sometimes the best stories start in the most unexpected places.

The crew from Mazanec Construction, currently working on the new addition at La Vega High School, had a tiny visitor wander onto their job site. Instead of ignoring the little kitten or hoping someone else would help, these guys did what good people do—they made sure the kitten was safe, loved on him (and trust me, it was pretty adorable seeing a bunch of construction workers completely wrapped around this tiny furball’s paw 😄), and reached out asking if there was anything Bellmead Animal Control could do to help.

That’s where one of Bellmead’s true unsung heroes stepped in🌟⭐️✨🤩💫

💜 Marie Mendoza, who runs the Our Bellmead Foster/Rescue Community page, has quietly been changing lives for years! For more than 8 years, Marie has served as a neonatal kitten foster for Bellmead, opening her home—and her heart—to some of the most vulnerable kittens imaginable.

What many people don’t see is the endless work happening behind the scenes. Marie is one of those incredible people leading the charge for our local feline community through fostering, rescue, and support for TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) efforts. While others may look the other way, she’s bottle-feeding newborns at all hours of the night, nursing sick kittens back to health, and giving countless cats a chance they otherwise wouldn’t have!❤️❤️

Sadly, people have even dumped kittens and cats over her fence because they know she’ll help them. That says a lot about the kind of heart she has…but it also shows how much our community relies on people like her.

And we can’t leave out her husband! Every superhero has a sidekick 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️ but in this case he’s much more than that. He’s right there beside Marie every step of the way, helping care for the kittens, cleaning, feeding, transporting, and doing whatever needs to be done. They truly are a team, and Bellmead is incredibly lucky to have both of them.

So today, I had the privilege of picking up this little construction-site kitty from the Mazanec crew and delivering him to Marie and her husband, where he’ll be safe, cared for, and given the chance to find the loving forever home he deserves.

❤️ Thank you to the amazing crew at Mazanec Construction for showing that compassion isn’t limited to the job site.

❤️ Thank you to Marie and her husband for proving, day after day, that one family really can make an incredible difference in the community.

Our community is stronger because of people like you.

🚂 ALL ABOARD FOR A HAPPY ENDING! 🐾❤️

Last stop? THE HUMANE SOCIETY OF CENTRAL TEXAS!!!!!

Our little railroad runaways have officially punched their tickets and boarded the “Second Chance Express!! We’re so excited to announce that David and Goliath are now safe in the wonderful hands of the Humane Society of Central Texas, where they’ll be cared for until they find their forever families. As always, they stepped up without hesitation, and we can’t thank them enough for helping us keep this train rolling in the right direction!

A very special shout-out goes to a young man with an even bigger heart, Bentley, for coming up with the perfect names: David and Goliath. We absolutely loved the suggestion, and those names fit these little adventurers perfectly. Thank you, Bentley! ❤️ 🥰😉

To everyone who shared the original post, offered help, or cheered these pups on from the sidelines—thank you for helping change the direction of their journey. Their story started along the railroad tracks… but thankfully, it didn’t end there. Here’s hoping the next stop is a loving forever home. 🐶🏡❤️

🚂 ALL ABOARD THE PUPPY EXPRESS! 🐶💙

🚨 Next stop: Their Forever Home… or Back Home!

These two adorable little conductors were found wandering near the railroad tracks, and thankfully their journey didn’t end in tragedy. Instead, they caught a one-way ticket straight to our kennel, where they’re now waiting for someone to punch their ticket home. ❤️❤️

They’re sweet, playful, and full of puppy kisses—not exactly qualified to be railroad workers, but they’re experts at stealing hearts. 🥹
🐾 Do these tiny passengers belong to you?
If so, please contact us and help get them back on the right track! 🏡 Not your puppies? Help us keep this train moving by sharing this post! Their future destination could be the loving home they’ve been waiting for. 🚂 Every share is another mile closer to a happy ending. Let’s get these little cabooses off the platform and into the arms of the people who love them!
Please share, tag, and help us reunite them with their family—or help them find a brand-new one. ❤️🐶❤️

UPDATE: Miss Lilith had a weekend long home visit to see if she would be a good fit for the special family that stepped up and she has officially found her forever home!!! Thank you so much to everyone that liked, loved, and most importantly SHARED her post❤️❤️❤️ It takes a village and ours totally rocks 😎😎🤘🤘🤘

🐾 🌙 FOUND AT 1:00 A.M. ON BELLMEAD DR… AND SHE WAS JUST LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO LOVE. 💔🐾

Meet our newest little “guest”… although around the station we’re already calling her Lilith. (And that’s a dangerous sign… because when we start naming them, we start falling in love. ❤️)

At 1:00 this morning, this sweet little German Shepherd puppy was desperately trying to follow a gentleman home on Bellmead Dr. She picked him, hoping he’d be her person. Unfortunately, he couldn’t take her in, so he did the right thing and called us.

Since arriving at the kennel, she hasn’t barked for attention… she hasn’t acted scared… she has simply wanted love and to feel safe.

She leans into every pet.
She melts into every scratch behind the ears.
She looks at you with those big brown eyes like she’s asking one question…”Are you my family?”

Someone out there may be missing this precious girl. If she’s yours, please contact Bellmead Animal Control so we can get her back where she belongs!

And if no one comes for her…

Maybe her family just hasn’t met her yet.

Please share this post far and wide. Let’s either reunite this baby with the people who love her or help her find the forever home she deserves.
Please help us prove to Lilith that not every journey ends alone. 🐾❤️

A share takes two seconds… but it could change her whole life. 🥹🐾
